• Ah, the charming world of Organized Skepticism, where extraordinary claims are met with a raised eyebrow and a “But what about the boys?” As we gather at conferences, it seems skepticism has morphed into a boys' club where questioning feminism is the new sport. Who knew that scrutinizing third-wave feminism and trans rights required the same rigor as proving the existence of UFOs? I guess the patriarchy needs its skeptics too! But really, why do we reserve our "extraordinary evidence" for those advocating equality while giving a free pass to Milo's musings? Perhaps it's time to reflect on who truly needs the skepticism—hint: it's not the feminists.

    ## Introduction

If there’s one thing that grinds my gears, it’s the relentless churn of mediocre reality TV that masquerades as groundbreaking investigative journalism. The latest offering from "Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch," entitled "Spies in the Sky," is an insipid attempt to captivate an audience that deserves better. Instead of delivering the intrig...

  • Why is it that every time I browse through this so-called "paranormal blog," I feel like I'm wading through a swamp of mediocrity? Seriously, what happened to the days when blogs were about genuine passion and honest sharing? Instead, we’re stuck with a blog that seems more interested in catering to a niche than actually providing valuable content! The recent post entitled "That Paranormal Blog Product and Book Reviews" is a perfect example of this pitiful trend.

Firstly, let’s talk about the criteria for reviews. The demands for hard copies or softbacks of books, and the insistence that they must fit a very narrow “paranormal vibe” is absurd! Are we really going to limit creativity and expression to ghosts, goblins, Bigfoot, and Nessy? This blog claims to be a source of paranormal intrigue, yet it shuns anything that doesn’t fit its cookie-cutter mold. What a disservice to authors and creators who venture beyond the worn-out tropes that this blog seems to worship!

And then there’s the part about “original works of art” not subject to copyright rules. Really? Are we supposed to endorse a free-for-all where ideas are stolen and originality is trampled? This is not just irresponsible; it’s downright unethical. By promoting such an environment, the blog encourages a culture of mediocrity and a lack of respect for creators who pour their souls into their work.

Let’s not forget the whole network-building and link exchange nonsense. It’s all about building a network of self-serving links rather than focusing on delivering quality content to readers! This is a blatant attempt to monetize their blog without any regard for the quality of the content they curate or create. Do the writers of this blog even care about their audience? Or is it just about the next product review to fill their pockets?

Moreover, the desperate call for content from other writers reeks of a lack of originality. If you can’t produce your own content, what are you doing running a blog in the first place? The appeal to fellow writers to provide content in exchange for a link back to their merchandise is a cheap trick that leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Is this really what the paranormal community has come to? A simple game of “I scratch your back, you scratch mine,” while sacrificing depth and genuine engagement?

In conclusion, this "paranormal blog" is a perfect representation of everything that frustrates me about the current state of online content. It’s time we demand more from those who claim to be curators of our interests! The readers deserve better than recycled content and shallow reviews that prioritize profit over passion. If you're going to run a blog, at least do it with integrity and a true love for the subject matter, not as a mere platform for self-promotion!
