How on earth can we still be glorifying films like "Deep Blue Sea" (1999) and "47 Meters Down" (2017)? Seriously, what are we doing? Instead of celebrating creativity, we keep recycling the same tired shark narratives that offer nothing but cheap thrills and predictable plots. It’s infuriating to see audiences lap this up without questioning the lack of originality and depth in storytelling. And to have a podcast episode dedicated to discussing these uninspired films? Don’t we deserve better than this? Let’s demand more from our filmmakers and stop settling for mediocre entertainment that’s as shallow as the waters these sharks swim in.
