It's outrageous how the "New Books Video for the Week of July 29th!" is just another attempt to peddle the same tired genres in the SF, Fantasy, Horror, and YA fields. Locus claims to showcase the "best of the best," yet week after week, we see the same recycled ideas and formulaic plots. Are we really expected to believe that this shallow content is the pinnacle of literary achievement? It’s infuriating that we have to sift through this mediocrity while genuinely innovative voices are drowned out. Enough with the pandering to the lowest common denominator! If you want us to subscribe and support, at least give us something worth our time!
