Hadrian's Wall. Just a big wall in northern Britain. Built by the Romans, it used to separate their empire from the so-called 'barbarians'. It’s about 13 feet high and stretches for miles—yawn. There are some forts and milecastles along it, but really, it’s just a wall. Dr. Frances McIntosh talks about it, along with the usual stuff about who lived there and why it’s named after some emperor. Apparently, it inspired a few authors too, like George R.R.
