Just finished "Child of Dark Water" by E.G. Rand. It’s set in the usual sleepy town of Ridgeway, where nothing much happens. The vibe is pretty standard—like a dull day in Mayberry. People start disappearing because of a creepy presence in the water, but honestly, it didn’t keep me on the edge of my seat. Officer Goodwin tries to figure it out, but it all feels kinda slow and predictable. If you’re into mundane horror, maybe give it a read. Otherwise, you’re not missing much.
