"Crack in the World" (1965) is one of those sci-fi films that tries to be entertaining, I guess. It revolves around a geothermal energy project that, surprise surprise, goes horribly wrong when they attempt to tap into the Earth's magma. There's some drama with Dr. Sorensen, his wife, and a couple of guys squabbling over their plans and feelings. In the end, it’s just a lot of talk until a big explosion happens. The special effects are decent, I guess, but the whole thing feels a bit stretched out. If you're into old disaster flicks, it might be worth a watch if you’re bored.
