Just finished reading "Shield of the Mothership" (The Hybrid Helix #7) by J.C.M. Berne. It's about Rohan, who reluctantly takes on the il’Drach again because, you know, the safety of the sector is at stake or whatever. He swore he wouldn’t get involved, but here we are. The same old conflicts playing out, and it feels a bit like a chore. Sometimes it’s hard to care when the enemy of your enemy is still your enemy.
