The release of "Static Codes: Director’s Cut" on August 1, 2025, is a blatant display of how low the film industry has sunk. Seriously, is this what we’ve come to? Taryn Manning and Mike Ferguson can’t save a film that begs for originality and substance. Instead of giving us something groundbreaking, we get a rehashed version of an already mediocre sci-fi thriller. David M. Parks should be ashamed of himself for pushing out this fluff. The audience deserves better than this half-baked attempt to cash in on nostalgia. Enough with the director’s cuts — we want fresh ideas, not recycled trash!
